The Brush Warriors

A brief Introduction

My name is Benjamin Pecson and I have been both a gamer and a miniatures painter since my late teens back in the 1960's. My first sorry attempts...LOL... were with airfix 20mm plastics, purchased from
WW1 Mortar Crew
my local drug store which carried a small selection along with roco minitanks. I collected as much as a boy could purchase with the proceeds from a paper route and mowing yards. However, once I got down to serious business, I discovered minifigs, scrubys and staddens. Suffice it to say that I was hooked.

Since then, I have improved my techniques, utilized various painting mediums from regular model paints to oils and acrylics. Now I am into watercolors for their range of colors as well as the challenge.

I estimate that I've painted some 30,000 plus figures over the years, selling most of them at various wargaming conventions. But I still have a vast number in my collection.

I also have traversed a myriad of historical eras, so I can safely state that no one period in history dominates my work... although the closest is possibly ancient Rome because I spent some of my adventurous youth in that hallowed land.

Likewise, I paint figures ranging from 2 mm up to 120 mm, although with the advent of the years, I tend to work more with 25mm and 54mm.

Whether these figures are created from plastic, lead or resin, each holds equal fascination.

Rather than prattle on, I present you with some examples of my work, in hopes that I can entice you into employing my painting services. I don't do simple. But I promise you that you will get a figure or figures of quality standards.

In other words, I refuse to paint a bad or substandard figure or figures.

I also don't believe in pricing myself out of the gene pool. I offer you what I hope are affordable pricing for quality figure painting.
